About the Nitecore D2 Digicharger
The Nitecore D2 Digicharger is a two-bay intelligent charger that pairs universal battery compatibility with a clear LCD readout, making it a go-to bench charger for anyone running 18650s and other cylindrical cells. Each of the two slots is controlled by its own microcomputer, so the D2 monitors and charges each battery independently and lets you charge two cells of different chemistries, sizes, or charge levels at the same time.
Setup is effectively automatic. The D2 detects the battery type on insertion, selects the appropriate charging mode (CC, CV, or dV/dt), and shuts off on its own once the cell is full. The integrated digital LCD panel shows real-time charging status including voltage, current, and charging time, so you always know exactly where each battery stands rather than guessing from a bank of indicator lights.
Built for broad compatibility, the D2 handles Li-ion, IMR, and (via manual selection) LiFePO4 rechargeables as well as Ni-MH and Ni-Cd cells, covering everything from 26650s down to tiny 10440s and standard AA/AAA sizes. Spring-loaded rails accept cells from roughly 30mm to 69mm in length, and a full stack of safety protections including reverse-polarity protection, over-charge prevention, and temperature monitoring keeps charging secure. It runs from standard AC wall power or 12V DC, so it is equally at home on the workbench or in the car.
